I sincerely apologize for what I’m about to say…
FRIDAY! FRIDAY! GOTTA GET BROWNIES ON FRIDAY.
Whew ok, got that out of my system ;)
But really. Guys. Its Friday and you NEED these in your life.
These wonderfully rich, outrageously chocolatey jezebel brownies. And yes, they are way more than just a brownie. They are a jezebel brownie.
Which can only mean one thing…these amazing treats are in fact the darker, chocolate twin to these blondies that I shared with you just a few days ago.
And I can promise you three things.
One, this brownie is simply the top layer here. There are oreos and chocolate chip cookies hiding beneath the sneaky surface. YEAH.
Two, these are most definitely just as delicious as the vanilla, blondie version.
And three, oh my goodness are these DELICIOUS!!! Like so amazing. If you are a chocolate lover, then this may possibly be a dream come true. You don’t have to pick and choose here. You get 3 of the most fabulous, 3 of the most chocolatey goodies all in one bite.
And one last thing! I would never lead you astray when it comes to brownies. I take these things very seriously…
chocolate chip cookie layer:
1/2 cup butter, room temperature
1/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/4 cups flour
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
16 regular or double stuffed oreos
10 tablespoons butter, melted
1 1/4 cups sugar
3/4 cup cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 cup flour
Preheat the oven to 350. Line a 9×9 baking pan with non stick foil.
For the chocolate chip cookie layer: Cream the butter together with the brown sugar and sugar in a medium bowl. Add in the egg and vanilla. Then, stir in the salt, baking soda, and baking powder. Mix in the flour until fully combined and finally, fold in the chocolate chips. Spread dough in the bottom of the lined baking pan.
For the oreo layer: Place the oreos in 4 rows of 4, making a single layer on top of the cookie dough.
For the brownie layer: In a medium bowl, mix the melted butter, sugar, and cocoa powder. Then add the vanilla and eggs. Stir in flour until just combined. Spread the batter evenly on top of the oreo layer.
Bake for 25-30 minutes. Cool completely before cutting.
Devour that deliciousness!
TINA’S TIP: Just like the Jezebel Blondies, these brownies are ridiculously amazing served warm with ice cream, whipped cream, and any other toppings you want to throw on there!
