ASIAN TURKEY MEATBALLS.

Asian Meatballs 1

I’m on an Asian food kick right now.

And when I say right now, I mean every single day for the past month. It is the only thing I’m craving! I’m talking sushi, pho, thai, chinese take out, korean bbq, vietnamese bakeries, japanese steak houses…ugh so yum and I want it all.

Anyways ;)

Meatballs are not something that I typically think of when I’m day dreaming about chowing down on some bulgogi and kimchi. But, these meatballs! These are one of a kind.

The meatballs themselves are tender, moist, and loaded with flavors that just explode in your mouth. In each bite you get to experience the marriage of soy sauce, ginger, garlic and cilantro. And to top it off, the zesty lime sesame sauce enhances those beautiful flavors, while also adding a tangy element to the dish.

This meal is phenomenal, I’m telling you. And they totally hit the spot if you, too, are in the mood for some Asian cuisine!

For the meatballs: Preheat the oven to 500. Line a baking sheet(s) with nonstick foil.

In a medium bowl, using your hands or a wooden spoon, mix all of the ingredients together until fully combined.

Roll turkey mixture into 1 1/2 inch balls and place on lined baking sheet(s). Bake for 15 minutes.

Lime Sesame Sauce

For the lime sesame sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, lime juice, and garlic. Microwave for 10 seconds.

Serve the meatballs over some lime & cilantro brown rice, spoon some sauce on top, and sprinkle with sesame seeds & chopped green onions.

Devour that deliciousness!

TINA’S TIP: This also makes a really great appetizer! Make your meatballs a tad smaller and when they are done, stick some tooth picks in them. Serve the sauce on the side for dipping and you are good to go!
